TEHRAN – Iran’s mixed team pair won a bronze medal in shooting in the 2022 Asian Games underway at Hangzhou on Saturday.

Iran’s Amir Joharikhou and Hanieh Rostamian defeated Pakistan 16-14 in the bronze medal match while the South Korea won the other bronze, beating Japan 16-8.

China claimed the gold after defeating India 16-14 in the final.

With more than 12,000 competitors from 45 nations and territories, the 2022 Asian Games has more participants than the Olympics.

Iran has sent 289 male and female athletes to the Games in 34 sports events.
